The Okefenokee NWR does not allow pets (dogs or cats etc) on the water at all and they do strictly enforce that rule. You can reserve a run in our onsite kennel for an additional charge or your dog may stay in the cabin unattended if in a crate and does not bark excessively, Dogs are not allowed in the beds, if you must sleep with your pet please do not bring him/her here. If you want to bring more than 1 dog please call the office to discuss the possibility. Vaccination records are required at the time of check-in for all and admittance will not be allowed without them. Pets must be declared at the time of reservation, should you try and sneak a dog into the campground you will be asked to leave the campground and will forfeit your paid reservation, we are sorry if this sounds harsh but recent events require it to be. There is no charge for your pet if you are staying in your own camper or tent (1 dog in an RV 1-dog per tent site), however, all pets must not be prone to barking, viscous, or destructive. All pets must be leashed when moving through the campground and must not be left unattended anywhere, they must remain leashed or penned when on your site. Pets are to be walked only on internal roads, trails and are not to be allowed to relieve themselves on any site, front lawn, or common areas. We have an exercise area where your pets can use the bathroom and you can pick up their waste and place it in the receptacle. Guests must clean up after their pet and provide their own dog bags, we do offer them for sale in the store. Pets are not allowed in the main building, laundromat, or bathhouse or in the starfield for any reason.
