Motorboat Birding Tour #M-B2

Tour description:
Basically this is our most popular Okefenokee private motorboat tour but custom tailored especially for birders. This birding tour is similar to and about the same amount of time on the water as our other more popular Okefenokee sightseeing tour. The main difference is that this tour is centered on birds and finding them for you to observe. Your guide is not a world class birder but loves birds and is familiar with most of the birds found in the swamp and is very knowledgeable of near water habitats and favored areas that can be productive viewing for many Okefenokee Swamp species of birds.
Bring your field guides and Optics and plan to use us as a resource on the water to get you into a position to be able to identify and observe the interesting bird life here at the Okefenokee Swamp.
Some more details:
This private tour involves up to 3 & half hours on the water. You will enjoy the rich habitats of Okefenokee waterways. It is a wonderful way to see the Okefenokee. We will not buzz around trying to cover lots of water, instead we will be swamp wise. After getting us deep into the beauty of the swamp, we cut the outboard motor, sounds scary but it’s not. This will allow us to enjoy silence and the slower pace our electric motor will provide to partake of this natural pristine ecological preserve.
Our vessel will be gliding silently under moss draped cypress trees surrounded by Ty Ty and fetter bush, then venturing out onto Chesser Prairie and the Okefenokee grand expanse of low vegetation not to mention the assortments of birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish and insects well share these waters with.
We intend for you to relax, enjoy this and have some fun. You may even feel some stress of a modern urban life style leaving your body.
Our most popular boat seats 4 with comfortably padded swivel seats and possible room for 1 more small person under unusual circumstances. {please see info below on our larger boat  designed for larger groups}
Cold drinks and water will be provided.
This private tour is ideal for amateur photographers, bird watchers, nature lovers and/or anyone who would rather take in this beauty with comfort, ease, safety and relaxation high on their list.
You should bring: Optics, Field Guides, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, rain jackets (we will go rain or shine, remember it is a swamp), insect repellent, comfortable shoes and comfortable clothes.
Hot and cold times of year please check with us about some special instructions.
Timing Info: The busiest times at Okefenokee are usually the weekends or holidays, a Friday afternoon, Saturdays and a Sunday after 11AM or almost any time of year except for the slowest months can mean sharing the waterways with others. For those reasons and some other good ones, (like early bird catches the worm). It is important that we go early AM when there is less activity, because we will probably have a better shot at solitude and a higher probability of sightings along many sections of waterway.
